Hard to believe I first wrote about Covid-19 on April 2, 2020. In that article, I recommended vitamins A, C, D, B-complex, the minerals zinc and magnesium and herbs of quercetin and curcumin for prevention. That nutritional advice still holds true. Research has shown those supplements to be useful, not only as prevention, but also as therapy if infected with Covid.
I just read an article on the website for the National Vaccine Information Center, an organization that provides research information about vaccination dangers. They look at all types of vaccinations from a risk-benefit view. The website is newsnvic@gmail.com, the date I am speaking of is 1/11/22, titled “Treatment Protocols for COVID-19: An Overview.” It is well researched and well written. I wrote in a comment that I thought it was the best article I have read yet about Covid. It is worth your effort to read: newsnvic@gmail.com.
It mentions ivermectin among other treatment medicines as well as the supplements I suggest. I have researched ivermectin on Pubmed.gov and found there is some scant evidence of its usefulness against Covid, also that it is relatively safe. For hydroxychloroquine, the preponderance of evidence is negative as to its effectiveness and safety.
My final word (as of today) is that prevention is the best policy, accomplished by the taking of the supplements mentioned earlier, getting vaccinated with booster, wearing an effective mask properly worn over nose and mouth when indoors in public places, and avoiding obvious spreader events such as parties and concerts in enclosed spaces. None of those are absolute certainties to prevent Covid, but each is an effective layer of protection against infection, hospitalization and death.
Get used to it.
